About the event

This virtual, one day retreat is for MT-BC's within the first 5 years of their career. Included in retreat registration is the 100+ page workbook, 1 year access to the Music Therapy Now MT-BC Community, and 10 total CMTE credits.Can't make the date? Asynchronous option available. This retreat includes conversations with experienced and resourceful music therapists, a workbook review, an authentic and open new professional difficulties discussion, intervention and song share, break out groups for futher connection, and frequent Q&A's. Our special guests include business owners and music therapy private practice owners, with experience in the pediatric medical setting, behavioral health, substance use, the school systems, hospice, older adults, pre and post natal care, and more.

Continuing Education 

Retreat - 7 CMTES

Participants will learn at least 3 new interventions that can be incorporated into the treatment plan of any age and population for immediate use following this retreat.

Participants will identify 5 new songs of varying genres to expand their repertoire for immediate use following this retreat.

Participants will collaborate with music therapy colleagues to discuss 1 challenge they are facing as a new professional and identify 3 steps to improve this challenge.

Participants will identify one area of growth as a music therapy professional and musically express that area of growth during the retreat.

Workbook - 3 CMTES

Participants will identify at least five new interventions that can be incorporated into the treatment plan of any age and population for immediate use.

Participants will identify 5 new songs of varying genre's to expand their repertoire for immediate use.

Participants will identify one area of self-care in need of growth as a new music therapy professional and create 1 action plan to expand in identified area of growth.

Participants will identify and utilize 1 new adaptive material and/or equipment to utilize in their music therapy practice.

Dannielle Caldwell, MT-BC

Dannielle is a board certified music therapist and creator of @musictherapyednow, @mtptpod, and Music Therapy Now. Dannielle has experience in the pediatric medical and private practice settings and lives in Jacksonville, FL. Dannielle is committed to the education, development and retention of new music therapists in addition to education and advocacy for the music therapy field.

Schedule

This virtual retreat will be held via zoom on Saturday, September 28th from 9am - 5pm with 4, 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Persons may request a cancellation before acceptance of the retreat workbook and may request a refund via email 1-week prior to the event. No refunds given following this date or following the download of the retreat workbook.
